Notes About The Poem

I know that to know HIM is as the song would say, to love HIM.
He is always with me, HE hears my prayers inside of heart so
I don't necessarily have to voice them.  HE knows my every
thought, HE knows my struggles, joys, shame, intention.
HE is GOD.

I Am So Aware of His Eyes

I’m So Aware Of His Eyes

Knowing Him and drawing close
being aware of His thoughts about me the most
for He can see into my heart
He knows my thoughts right at their start

I know I can’t hide anything from Him
so I want to be free from any and every kind of sin
clean and pure as a newborn babe
for you see, I am truly in love with Him

I never have wanted to hurt His heart or see His tears
to even think I have causes me pain
I would rather cease to exist and never to have been born
then to see my God suffer at all from my personal shame

Even before that one look of His into my eyes
is all He needs to know what is in my mind
He knows my intentions and tries to direct
my reactions to life and to be as my God truly is, so kind

His Spirit is here to work on these vessels of ours
made originally and fashioned by Him out of clay
which are able to break at the slightest blow
yet strong enough to live on this earth with its chaos day to day

As I have said, I love my God
and I want so much to be filled up of His Spirit
and at any given time He will be able to call on me
to finish a work of His so that in His book He can clear it

I know that His eyes are on me as
I walk through each day on my own designated path
meeting each challenge a little better than the day before
because of the work in me He had done will for eternity last

Daily I say to Him, Papa here I am
standing at attention before Your throne
do You have anything for me to accomplish for You today
so I will wait upon You until You make Your will to me known
