I Am Not My Own
I have put myself at risk,
and regarded my life as low
by holding it in my own hands
and pretending that I know
what is good and well for me,
even when i could not see
all the storms that lie ahead.
Playing god, but fear i dread.
I must have been a fool,
only wise to his own eye;
for no babe can nurse itself
and is doomed to even try.
If i say that I am strong
than my weakness is my pride,
and if i say that i can see then
then i'm in most need of a guide.
So I admit that I am weak
but declare my God as strong,
yes; i know that i lack much
but in my God not all is gone.
See ; i am a dead man without Him,
but in Christ im dead to sin
So since God sustains my youth,
and He seeks spiritpraise and truth
I wont lie and say "I am" . . . .
I will say "He is, and can!!"
