I Am Not Alone

Feeling alone
No flesh on the bone
Heavy as a stone
Vulnerable
Numb
No wind in the sails
Not even a breeze.

Yet I am not alone
Lying emotions try to take control
Of a vulnerable rudder
Trying to steer to a sea of darkness
But I steer to Jesus who is bright
Reassuring commitment to me as I float
I am not alone.

Indeed the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own,
and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. (John 16:32
NKJV)
