I Am Not a Loner

I am not a loner as they claim,
But I have been bent
To fit the shape of pain.
I have been dressed up
To suit the occasion of depression.
I have been tamed,
To live like an introvert,or a loner.

I am really not a loner
But I am adopting the style
Of living like one.
Like I existed in the world all by myself.
This is the nourishment
That betrayal has brought me.
It is the life I have bought
With my commitment and kindness.
But I am really not a loner.

Ampurire, your poem touched my heart, for those words could be mine, I am a loner and an introvert also, but in that place of aloneness, a poet was born within me. I love people but don't need people (I think you understand that) and have so much to do, there is not enough time in a day, well done, Constance
