I Am My Own Shield

Red oil dripping down my pants, I’m painted

Slowly glancing at the crowd to see who took a
stare

Shamelessly i watch it sprinkling down my thighs
and I realise I’m tainted

Funny how your own anchor can crunch and leave u feeling bare

It’s the damage you can never change and time
you can never forward,
that procreates the heart-shell to pound so
flippin’ fast

and the reality sharpened to cut the straight pointing backward,
that shapes and pickle your swing for the run to
last

Nature so inevitable, knocked me off the pride

Seeing this wicked blood scattering my veins

My breath took away, for a moment I’m shuttered
Shamelessly again I glance to look for my friends

Dreadfully got chocked in my own field

cause in the end we get to be our own shield
