I Am God
There are some who proclaim themselves to be deists. They claim I do exist but assume no responsibility.
There are those who say they are atheists. They boldly claim that I do not exist.
There are others who are agnostics. They claim there’s no way they can know.
But to those who believe in me and stand afar, as you ponder what I think, ask me if you dare.
Pause and come to me, and be reassured that I really care. Many think that I am a mystery; others just stand and stare.
Those who heartily believe and love up close, are rare. Of their love and desire for me, I am very much aware.
I am always watching you, just waiting to share. Your fears and your pain, I do desire to bare.
Do not think that I am far, and somewhere way up there. You need not think that I am just floating out there in the air.
O my child, I even know the color and the texture of your hair. I am Hope; I am Peace; I am Kindness; I am Joy; I am Love.
O come to me, trust in me, and say just a simple prayer. Dear one, I am here; I am there; I am listening; I am God*
