I AM BEAUTIFUL

I would be the first to admit,
And few would disagree,
That I am no oil painting
(Unless you include Edvard Munch)
No one would look at me twice.
And yet, she did.
And she tells me she loves me,
Every day.
I suppose that old saying
Must be true

This is such a tender and uplifting piece, Bryn. I love how it blends honesty with humor, and then lands on something so pure and affirming. It’s a beautiful reminder that love sees far beyond appearances. CONGRATULATIONS!

Bravo ! There's magic in simplicity, truth in your words, an "out loud laugh" in your reference to Munch, and BEAUTY in your poem. Congrats, very well deserved.

This was simple yet profound and never a truer word written... when we love someone, they become the epitome of beauty! Thank you for sharing this with us! Xoxo
