I Am a Woman

I am a woman A mother, a daughter, a sister Full of nurture, full of love Keeping my faith, keeping my strength I am a woman A wife and a provider I raise and love my children I support and love my husband My babies are my gifts I'll protect them with my life Trying not to show them wrong Encouraging them to do right I'll never leave you, can't be without you My family is my life How I would lose my mind If I couldn't kiss them goodnight I am a woman My heart full of tender care I'll lend a helping hand With strangers I will stand I am a woman And my life is a story The past is present and full of mistakes Just trying to do my best, everyday Do unto me as I do unto you By showing your love faithfully Don't hurt me cuz I won't hurt you Just put your trust in me I need you to be there Like i'm there for you I need you to show you care Like I care for you I am a woman Show me some respect I am your queen, and you my king So get rid of the rest I am a woman Without me, there is no you Treasure these precious words Deep down you know it's true Sisters hear me calling You are a diamond in the rough Don't let no one take your pride Don't let no one set you up Stand tall and stand proud Let it all come out Shout I am woman Let it flow out your mouth
