I Am a Poem
I am one breathtaking moment, I am heartbreak, I am lost and alone
I am one raindrop, or a flowering rose, a distant star, or a meadow lark
Or a dark cloud that hovers on the horizon
I am memories from a long ago childhood, and I am many tears and deep sorrow
I am rainbows and seasons, and a reason to sing a love song
I tell a story, share some laughter, feel the glory
I am all the colors of our world, I am disappointment, or a pearl
I am all races, all creeds, the scattering of seeds and words unfurled into the light
I am all the hurt, all the anger, all the joy, all the love
I am all who believe in God above, and all who doubt
I laugh, and sing, and wail and shout, I show devotion, unleash emotion
I lay stepping stones to healing, renew by sharing feelings
I am a few unbroken rules, a few enchanting jewels, an ember, a spark
I am a poem.........and........I have a heart
