I Am a Booby

My best feature by far, my bright azure feet.
A mating dance star, prowess cannot be beat.
South American bird, wing span of five feet.
My diving is absurd. Snow white breast is neat.
A morel mushroom head, strutting brown feathers.
Seventeen years of stead, love Pacific weathers.
Three hundred and thirty feet, of dive cannot be beat.
Do not need wet suit or any kind of scub-y.
I am the blue-footed booby.

Hello Caren, I like this bird poem. I have never seen a Booby bird. What does it look like?

It is darling! If you look up "blue footed booby" under google images, you will be AMAZED. They are the cutest birds ever; I have never seen one in person. Pout. Pout.

Lucky bird to have 'bright azure feet' - maybe in my next life (if I get one!) I'll come back as a blue footed booby!
