I Am


I am a feather in the wind;  
neither lost nor aimless, simply drifting.

I am a constant flowing river...
I walk with feet of clay; a work in progress.

I am a gentle dove of a man,
a quiet storm of inner peace.

I am light switched on 
in a world of shadows; it shows in my smile.

I am beauty in ugliness;
incorrigible optimist, a faithful soul.

I am poetry, published and unwritten;
a bard with a every present pen.

I am a soldier of truth,
endlessly seeking clarity and enlightenment.

I am a conqueror of destiny;
a coconut: tough shell yet soft inside.

I am mindfulness,
kindness, joyfulness; a gift from God.

I am, most of all...
a man of value.
