I Am

I am a dreamer I wonder what it will feel like to have peace in the world I hear the world slowly burning and cracking the ice beneath my feet I see a world so cold and lonely while people scream for their rights and their dreams I want to escape from the eclipse eating at my future I am a dreamer I pretend I am in a lavender dream I feel worried about the road amidst the crowd of failed hopes and false faith I touch my head and try to keep it on right I worry that I will lose sight of what I want I cry about how in the end nothing you do matters and your just going to be forgotten I am a dreamer I understand the agonizing meaning of life is to try and make it better for others who are better off I say that when I die, no one will remember my name I dream that the world will realize what they have done wrong I try to prove to everyone that I'm not just some worthless dreamer I hope my name doesn't fade anytime soon I am a dreamer
