I Am

I am the poison
I am the cure
I am the sun
And am the moonless night
Burdened with darkness
But still shedding light
I am innocent
Yet, I am to blame
I am changing
Yet, I am the same
I am contradiction
And consistency
I am gentle
I am soft with spines
I can yield
I can hurt
I can kill
But I can also heal
I am sturdy
And yet I shake
I am tough
But yet I break
I walk
I stall
I run
I fall
And yet
I rise
Always
I am high hills of happiness
In a valley of despair
My mind keeps me grounded
But my spirit owns the air
I am I
I am me
I am love
I am hate
I am nothing
I am something
I can be anything
I am great.
I am I
I see
I am blind
I am rare
But never hard to find
I come with flaws
Yet I am perfect by design
I am I
