Jewel, my little thirteen year old Chihuahua, had a heart attack and died.

I am despondent.

Some folks would say I lost a pet. They speak with pity and some regret. They say to get another soon, And then I'll sing a different tune. That I'll be happy once again, Folks like that don't understand, I didn't lose a dog, a pet. I can't go to a store and get, Someone else to take her place. No other has her ways, her face. They look at her and see a dog. I look and see --- my baby girl.

aww Judy they are so precious as they are family members who are often more loyal than humans, my heart goes out to you I am so sorry for your loss :-( hugs jan

i KNOW HOW YOU FEEL JUDY - i LOST A THREE YEAR OLD LABRADOR, WHO WAS FOR ME HUMAN, SHE UNDERSTOOD WHATEVER i SAID AND EVEN HOW i FELT. SHE GOT SICK ONE DAY CAME TO ME AND PUT HER HEAD ON MY LAP AND JUST LOOKED AT ME - i KNEW SHE WAS IN PAIN - TWO WEEKS LATER SHE DIED. WE HAD HER CREMATED AND PUT HER ASHES NEXT TO MY FAVORITE ROSE BUSH - 10 YEARS LATER WHEN I SEE HER PUPPY PHOTO I CRY. BLESSINGS AND HUGS, JENNIFER.
