Hypothesis of Love

A well-to-do professor,
sat under an oak and pondered,
upon the meaning of love.
With his formula, reason, and math,
he arrived at a hypothesis.
A young student ,
a man smitten with a raven haired,
green-eyed beauty.
Sat beside him ,
and helped him ponder.
As the young man's mind started to speak,
his heart interrupted and said:
"Love is from the heart and not the mind,
love is crazy, peaceful, chaotic, everything.
Love is an ache, a hunger, a hurt,
you live every moment of your life for.
It is two halves of a whole
that long to be together
when they are apart.
It is nothing, it is all,
a sunrise, a sunset, a raging torrent.....
a peace like no other."
