Such an evocative image ... the candle flickering has always been a powerful symbol for death coming through ... THIS is how I like haiku. Simplicity that sticks with you.

A beautiful three-liner, forget the labeling. It is poetry at its best, Paul and obviously many think so. Congratulations on your careful choice of words. I like the title too which is not cricket for haiku; but who cares.
