Husband
I never gave you the chance
To really be there for me
And I was never patient enough
To allow myself to see
That you had accepted the roll
Of being the head of our family and home
I didn't think that you were ready
And I may have never known
How good of a provider that you were
A help and soul mate you've been to me
My love constantly grows for you
And I'm glad that I wasn't too blind to see
That what I had been praying for
Was happening right in front of my eyes
I know God always answer's my prayers
But this was like lightening across the skies.
I just got frustrated a whole lot
Cause I constantly compared you to my father
And I know that it's not right
I don't know why I even bother
But I do realize
That you are your own man
And in God's eyes and mine
No one take care of me, better than you can
You are my knight in shining armor
Ready and willing to save the day
You are the man of my dreams
And my hero in every way.
