Hurricanes
Hurricane Harvey came slowly and stilled itself
Unhurried, she rested awhile and packed tons of rain
Rain was so intense and poured down 50 plus inches
Rivers, creeks, roadways, freeways, and homes flooded
Irma, the next hurricane, was lurking in the ocean as well
Canoes, boats, and good samaritans came to the rescue
Animals such as snakes and alligators were spotted nearby
Neithbors looked out for each other and helped in their disaster
Emergency workers, police, fire, and volunteers came to save the day
Sadness filled the air, but the sun shone again and filled the hearts of Texans
