At 1:30am the wind was so fast that the limbs of my big oak tree were just bending down so far to the ground and then back up again it was a sight to see.. and of course I was a little nervous; it is just about 9 feet from my bedroom window.

What an excellent choice of charming, powerful words you used to capture your readers attention and imagination in this wonderfully composed Haiku. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Magnificent! Here in Central Texas we got nary a drop of rain from good ole' Nick. Your poem captures the irony of the storm, with its ripping apart of trees that then launch their branches... at least, that is my imagery.

yes, you are right, Kira, trees and fencings were down, windows broken, and of course some people are still out of electricity . Thank you for reading.

Must be a frightening experience Eve, we sometimes get the tail end of one in the uk but by then a lot of its power has gone. Hope you're well. Tom
