Ain’t seen no nuttin’ yet.
I wont me some muten.
Geet dat dere tree stan' set.

Sho wheel be glad ta see
Dis yers buck a-runnin.
Watch out fer dat dair bee
Stingin' sho ain’t singin’.

Da possum, whire she be?
Over yander. Ya see?
Been dere nelly a week.
Hangin'. Huntin' nuttin'.

Why WE huntin nuttin?

You brought a big smile to my face with this write, Dane. Have lived in the Southern woodlands, I can attest to the fact that you have mastered this dialect perfectly. Just sorry to here you decided to buy the mutton instead of finding a good catch in the woods. But buying dinner is always better than "huntin' nuttin." Love you, dear! Carolyn

Dane this poem is great - The end of last week my family and I went up to the Cabin and Sunday I awoke and walked out on the deck and laying there without a care in the world was a beautiful 6 point buck - I remember the day i would have killed it - I just got lost in the breathtaking beauty of it - Very Majestic looking he was - God Bless, MJ
