I like this one! So down to earth, funny and yet evoking a certain feeling of sadness, perhaps a longing for the days when our parents were there to turn on the light, when we were afraid. Very Sweet!

Very GOOD! I remember those nights as though they were recent. I just knew if I kept all my parts covered, I could not be stabbed, but I remember that daring and frightening run into my parent's bed. This poem is 'nostalgic' and accurate, and it was a joy to read. Poetry hugs ... CayCay

Ah, I (think that I) remember those days all too well. Now that they're grown, I miss the 'good old days' when my 'hungry monsters rumbled under my bed.'
