Humpback Whales
A breath I have ached to suck in.
Happens only when I am able to
stare out across the endless ocean
at my special spot waiting for their arrival.
The Humongous Beasts of the blue water.
Performing with entertainment
of splashes and spout-blowing
for all who come and watch.
What they cannot see,
is the sadness that is taking place
way down in the heart of
this hugest animal of the world.
Their souls crying out to anyone who hears-
our loved ones are continuing to die.
There are not many of us left.
The same animals that
are robbing them of life,
anxiously await
to enjoy their presence.
They do not understand, they do not understand.
