Hummingbird

Blur
Red, green, yellow
Painted; splashed in wind
Like different pedals falling and staying in midair
Tiny body hover, your science is so rare
Flower whispers of delicate touches made
Plants eye jealousy, for they wish for you to stay
Heartbeat so rapid, but steady is your flight
For something near invisible, your soul is full of might
Tales must be a part of you, cause other eyes mistake
Sure that the magic of your body, must be a fairy's wake

This is a marvellous and very well expressed blank verse poem, Jessica. Not only did you capture the vivid colors of a hummingbird with your words, but your outstanding lines were a delight to read as well. Carl.
