Humans As Ornaments

I like to see humans in their craziness
Hunting, looting other beings their lives
Bodies, horns of animals are cut and used
Ivory, egg shells, tortoise shells, flowers
wood carvings brutally got for ornaments

There is a being greater than humans
He is on the way to earth to build a home
Which part of humans shall the being
cut, modify to build and decorate rooms?
Is there a part good for ornamentation?

And when he comes capturing and killing
Humans in their helpless life as elephants
With their extinction at the doorway
Which creature will conserve humans species?

Let’s think now as the time may be within

Whatever humans do to wild creatures
May be done to them in the remote times

So true Solomon. But, in order for humans to think that way they would first have to bring themselves down from their ivory tower and put themselves at the same level as animals. Isn't that ironic? We are the most destructive animal on the planet but we have set ourselves up so high and mighty, that we do not really consider ourselves animals, therefore we go dark in the light of day, and dark into the night we'll end if we don't mend our ways, open our eyes, and see the light:) Amitiés

Commendable shared insight. I wish we could find a way to advertise this poem for all humanity to consume and then think again. Wonderful!
