Humanity Loses To Big Oil Dakota Injustice

....happening a few hours north and west of where I live in Minneapolis Bulldozers pushed earth into mounded walls all along the watchtower. Wild Sunflowers, roots exposed, gasped for life, uncomfortablysideways, faces driven into mud.Stun-gun wires, the few that escaped the eyes of the cleaners, barbed claws still red from piercing skin, poked up in human ignorance. Earth raped, a violation of sacred grounds, burned in the hearts of Dakota Native Americans. How can Native Peoples tresspass on Treaty Lands? The world is watching, and we see with clear eyes, our hearts are heavy with your tears. 10/28/16 Dakota Territories

This brought a tear to my eyes. And yes, my heart is heavy each time I think of the injustice to Native Americans. I hope Americans stand together to support their rights on their Treaty Lands. It's time "Paleface" did something good for them for a change! Okay, so you got me going with this poignant poem. Nice!

James, the natives did not trespass, right? It was white men I would think. The one line near the end was confusing for me but wow, the description in this is amazing. About the sunflowers being ripped up. The injustice in this world never ends.

yes, an oxymoron was my intent, Andrea, Treaty Land bequethed to Dakota Sioux 19th. Century cannot be tresspassed upon by a Native Nation already in possession! Corruption at the highest level, I smell lobbyists...jim

Being half Native American this touches me deeply. It's like having something stolen from you and when you take it back you are charged with theft. Mankind is "improving" himself into extinction and he is taking everything with him. How does one improve on what God already made perfect to begin with. Good job here. God Bless and a seven from me.
