Humanity

Having the ability to reason as we manipulate our environment, Understanding right from wrong, at least to some degree, and Making decisions that affect others' lives for good or for worse Are the largest part of what separates man from beast. No other being on this earth Is as progressive. . . nor as destructive to the planet, Yet that which defines also sadly seems to doom us. Let me start off with congrats on your win, it is well deserved for this write is a truly wondrous poem, you have invoked the truth of humanity in regard to the environment...we are so careless! We think that we are not doing anything wrong, but it has long been found that what we have done to the Earth is horrible and that we should change! But we are creatures of habit, we don't like to change! What a fantastic piece my friend, Great Work Andrea!!

So very well said, we seem to be both the best and the worst at the same time.

Nicely done, Andrea. I sat and stared at the letters but had one of those 'empty head' sessions, and gave up. Yours is a winner, methinks. Viv x

We definitely need better written programs on T.V. You get what you pay for and why most are rubbish. Older programs used to have a moral and teach our youth. These today are after cheap silly jokes trying to entertain. They miss the mark in my opinion. Our schools here are teaching about how to save our environment and go green...very, very important when living on an island. I really liked your poem Andrea and I agree. Very well done! : )
