Human Race

There is turmoil in this world
That we really can’t defend,

Among the drugs and alcohol
The weaker, they depend,

The racial tension, still alive
And gender issues on the rise,

Harassment comes in many forms
The lives of many people torn,

We see the grief and hear the noise
In schools protect our girls and boys,

And we have come so far today
To raise our voice, and have our say,

Tweet, twitter, face book and Iphones
Instagram, Snapchat and even drones,

Today’s technology, we move so fast
What’s on top, will never last,

The rich get richer as they say
Some just manage day to day,

As generations come and go
There will always be a need to know,

A faster way, a better way, of keeping up with time
At what expense, within this life, to turn it on a dime,

The world with all its problems, we all need to face
Protect, defend and guard, the present human race.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
