Human Needs
I need food.
I need water.
I need love.
I need father.
I have myself and no one else.
I'm hungry and cold and tired.
The children at school are mean,
The teachers are too,
My parents are gone,
And I love you.
You listen and don't hurt.
I love you with my heart.
I may be hard to take care of
But I'll love you with the all of
My heart, which slowly beats
For it needs some treats
Maybe that rotted apple?
There's nothing wrong with it.
You say it's too soft?
No, it can't be.
You give me food
Good food.
I don't know what to do.
I eat until I'm full
Then I eat until I spew
I don't want to go home.
I want to stay here.
Your face and your heart
and your wife so dear.
Can I have you?
Can you be mine?
Like a teddy bear
All sweet and fine?
I don't want to be cold
Or hungry again
I want to live here
Again and again
I love you.
I need you.
Please stay.
I need food.
I need water.
I need love.
I need father.
