Human Highway

Woke up with a sleepy head Rolled the covers from my bed Why do I have to work today Doesn’t my life tell me to play I’m running late off to work I give the door a single jerk To the car down life’s highway The human race starts on Monday Time goes slow the morning has won Your not at work if your having fun Tell yourself this little lie As your mind then drifts toward the sky And memories are filled with this Remember for every day that drags on A moment in time has just begun Those dreams driving you down life’s highway Are moments in the sun your looking for today

I can relate to this Poem as I dread going to work some days. More importantly, I think it's the forced feeling of the schedule of work and the endless money I need to make. Great Poem! Thank You. --Chadwick Vincent
