Hugs For Those We Love
A new dawn has broken
With daylight peeping through
Into a brand new era
For me and for you
Family and friends
can meet up once again
Hugs for those we love
Remembering how life used to be
Each day taken for granted
Never again ~ I hear folk say
Our todays we will cherish
Wondering how did we get through
Appreciate the little things
Raise our heads upto the sky
Enjoy our strolls beside the sea
New friendships we have made
For our life has been saved
Too many they were taken
Too many they have gone
Only now do we feel safe today
Vaccinations for everyone
For we will see a brand new day
A day so bright
Stepping into the light
Yesterdays gone
Spring is on her way
Still alive and grateful
To inhale the air of a brand new day
