How To Write Poetry
One thing I know about poetry
is that you can compare it to singing or painting-
you cannot make a good painting or song,
if your thought is on wealth and fame.
You have to enjoy the art of poetry,
with all your heart-
a passion that cannot be taught.
Have you seen Samurai warriors
sleeping with their Katana swords besides them?
That’s the same way you should view poetry;
making every word, verse, and inspiration
to be part of your life.
Another thing is that the best poets never think so hard on what to write;
they play with words, creating their own metaphors;
they write what they feel at the core of their hearts,
and think in the deepest depths of their minds without
fear or intimidation.
