How Romantic Was I

Brave condor, you are a winged wonder
   O, breathtaking bird --- PLOP! ---
I need to shampoo my hair and ponder

Noble steed, racing like the wind o'er yonder
O, swift stallion --- NOT THAT WAY, CRAZY HORSE! ---
I must be ever on guard for thoroughbred blunders

Graceful swan, gliding downstream, you wander
O, crown of aquatic creation --- STOP THAT HONKNG! ---
I need intermingle this creature with the duck, the goose and the gander...

How Romantic was I, but so confused
~ Of youthful notions, now disabused

G'day Gershon … after reading the first verse, you must be happy that cows don't fly. Romance! Often there's a fly in the ointment so to speak - thanks for the giggle Gershon - Lindsay

Ha, ha! What about the cow that jumped over the moon? I had better be on the look-out for that flier! LOL. ~ Bo Vine

Gee, thanks Eve! Appreciate what you wrote there about my nose --- although if I had lowered it a little more, maybe the falcon poop would have missed me altogether! LOL. Thanks again, and have a great evening! :) gw
