“Spring” was written in 1948 when I was nine years old.
I have written poetry all my life
By the age of nine
my poetic urge had sprung
to be part of me-
as new Spring was on its way
with the magic of my pen.
My poetic muse
came to stay with me that day
helping me write, "Spring"-
planted the art of writing
in my heart throughout the years.
