How Many Dreams Stolen
How many lives must be taken?
How much blood will be split?
How many tombstones must be ordered?
How many souls will be taken from us?
Each day the numbers rises
As the number of cases
From the across the globe
Rack up in piles of corpses
To the poor innocent souls
That suffer under a curse?
How much longer must we watch
As we moan the departed?
How much longer must we suffer
Under this cruel tyranny?
How many dreams will you take?
How many bucket lists will you kick away?
How many goals must you slice down?
How many flames must be snuffed out?
How much longer must hearts' ache?
How much longer must eyes weep?
How much longer must spirits dive?
How much longer must sanity plummet?
The lives of the millions
The lives of the innocent
The lives of the pure
The lives of the dreamers
Their blood is on your hands
Their broken dreams pierce your feet
Like pieces of a glass vase that broke
Their books of life burned to ash
That you threw into the fireplace?
How many dreams must you steal?
How many dreamers must you kill?
How many souls must you sacrificed?
Just so you can save your pride!
