How Love Died

Years of broken promises fell in hardened tears And feeling safe, now feeling threatened, turned to fear Lust accused of losing her appeal, turned to dust Leaving suspicion, where once there had been trust That once beautiful love, was slowly put to death Poisoned by those cruel words that took her every breath Leaving her a lonely soul with a broken heart As his true colours finally stepped, out of the dark
