how long ago it seems
such sultry summer nights
bring back sweet memories
of you and me chatting on and on
steamy music in the background
how long ago it seems
moonlight kissed my cheeks
buoyant nonchalant abandon
when the scent of carefree freedom
invited the two of us to dance
how long ago it seems
whispers soft at my neck
when we two nibbled at luscious fruit
grasping life with all our might
how long ago it seems
