How It All Began
Falling In Love
It all started in a very simple way
as she walked down the path and drank in
the lilies bowing their heads to the river north
and the birds chirping their love song to the
trees;
It all began that summer day
when he kissed her beneath the apple tree
and told her she was the only girl for he
the roses blossomed in the garden
the marguerites
told their story with a yes and no refrain
and a lastly pluck of yes;
It all started with a magical gaze
between two people who yearned for love
the sun set gently and the moon rose sweetly
beneath a star filled sky of blue and silver
truth be told,
They fell in love and stayed that way
forever and a day...
