How I Got Started

She got me started,
And now I can’t stop,
Not that I want to,
But I don’t know what to do,
How to write other that this now,
I like writing like this,
But I can’t express myself other than,
Poetry and song lyrics anymore.
We started simple,
About school,
Then about feelings and objects,
She taught me I didn’t have to rhyme,
I just had to write my feelings down,
In rhythm it only took a day to learn the basics,
And now I don’t need help anymore,
I can just write about anything,
About anything and then some,
Now you can see why I don’t want to stop,
Once you try it it’s addicting,
I love to write!
