How Hot Was It
How hot was it when I was lost
I do not like to remember it
Yet I will tell you at no cost
So just lend me an ear for a bit
Like a bull frog boiling in water
The heat kept slowly increasing
I could not feel it getting hotter
As my love kept slowly decreasing
Lucifer continued to turn up the heat
As I continued to find new pleasures
But I asked God to stop this dirty cheat
And then I found new treasures
I now know what the master of lies does
Because I'll never forget how hot it was
