How Could I Be So Stupid

How could I be so stupid
thought they scolded me
learnt this is a way to love
worth as they gave me life on this earth.

How could I be so stupid
thought I can't study maths
learnt I'm good at accounts than it
worth as I knew what's best for me.

How could I be so stupid
thought friends always are right
learnt they too are of my age though
worth to know my parents always correct me.

How could I be so stupid
thought they ruined my life
learnt new ways of people to cheat
worth it was to never repeat the mistake.

How could I be so stupid
thought I lost my freedom
learnt he was my mate for the long walk
Worth to love someone I never thrived for.

How could I be so stupid
thought I lost my job
learnt to revive my passion again
worth it was to pursue my real dream.

How could I be so stupid
thought my kids never cared for me
learnt they have their own lives now
Worth at last to spend free time with my soulmate.
