How can this be?

There are things in my life, that I wonder "how can this be?" Things that I never imagined that I would ever see! My son being missing, or not sure of his being whether he is alive or not, I will strive to find out today in some uncertain way I detest the effect of drugs that turn people into slugs and mental illness that they try to hide from everyone until they cry for help and it comes but only for a burst of time as loved ones wait for the worst

Thank you, Gershon. My heart is often throbbing from the pain of the situation, but it helps to pour it out into poetry or music. Those are my sanity savers!

So sorry you struggle and suffer with worrying. I empathize with you as I too have been challenged by loving someone battling in this way. My hope is that God grants healing for your loved one. May your faith and love keep you strong for this unpredictable journey. Your poem is engaging and important!

Thank you, Karen. Writing about it and praying are the only things that aleviate the stress. It is a true challenge, but love is worth it and I pray that will he will heal from this.

Like my sweet nephew. He finally took his life 3 years ago, last October 31st. Still, I hope he made it to heaven and gave my mother a big hug as she questioned why he was there. Mental illness, drug addictions, shame, repetition, go hand in hand. I hope solace and peace come your way and your child finds their way back home!!
