House For Sale

Another house on the block went up for sale today, the old couple passed away. The neighborhood changes once again without question or prejudice. Our neighborhood diversifies with variations of race, religion and ethnicity. From my understanding of it development this community has always been as it is having learned that black or white, Christian, Jew or Muslim are not different from one another and struggle equally. These are blessings learned, open gifts recognized over time where at last, no one is restricted from living a simple life, the American dream embracing all who come. There are no hidden barriers taught and holding on from the past that would have shut anyone in or out or locked the doors, never welcomed only faces of specified races or religions, everyone is free and open and encouraged to live. Those who come and homestead make their individual and communal place and purpose. Each of us leaves a mark unseen but known and accepted and simple in the neighborhood for we are all the same God's children and we can be called home at anytime as our houses are put up for sale and we go home.
