Hotel California Contest

A sidewalk of gold leads to double doors
Windows that stretch from ceiling to floors
A gravitational pull, tugging your temptations
A remedy to satisfy your wildest sensations
A welcome home rug, inviting you in
A blanket of goosebumps, tingle your skin
All the luxuries of life, regardless the cost
No fee to get in, but souls have been lost

I believe Don Henley is singing at that time about selling your soul to the devil to get musical riches. Based on my research it is common practice to sign musical contracts with Mogul record company controllers that are practicing Satanist. Many souls have been lost and sacrifices given for wealth. This write reflects this accurately. Huge Eagles fan went to see them in Buffalo. Enjoyed reading. I have written two Eagles poems.
