The Horsehead

Seen in its cloud of dust - there appears in Orion the head of a beautiful horse. Emerging like a rose-painted Pegasus in the vast expanse of space, it has galloped through the constellation as its hooves -invisible to our eyes - have sparked a shower of bright new stars! Very pretty and beguiling poetry, Andrea. I’ve photographed this object, but it’s exquisitely difficult to see in a telescope. I wrote about the Owl Nebula, also difficult in small instruments, and I was so proud to have found it decades ago.

Wow this is beautiful Andrea. I want to write one for this contest but Michelle is gone and I have been too busy caring for the girls who are out of school. My daughter gets back tonight, but works tomorrow. I am sure this lovely poem will fly, soaring to the top. : ) xxoo
