Notes About The Poem

Horsehead Nebula

Seen in its cloud of dust -

there appears in Orion

the head of a beautiful horse.

Emerging like a rose-painted Pegasus

in the vast expanse of space,

it has galloped through the constellation

as its hooves -invisible to our eyes -

have sparked a shower

of bright new stars!
