Hopeless Hope

In that crack of time
Between dusk and night
The setting sun cast a orange hue
A beautiful glow across the ocean
But the fisherman saw a different sight
Engraved forever on his mind
Of the drowning man
Who reached out and grabbed
The shadow of a passing cloud.
