Hope Lies In Her Cry

My wife Irina's from Ukraine
Right now her heart is filled with pain
From cries of distant friends who fear
The End of Days may well be near

I hold her hand as she sheds tears
as Hope can all but disappear...
It's then she cries, "O, Awesome One
  Salvation bring! Your Kingdom come!"

I have friends who used to live there; they are marvelous people. I remind people daily - these are people, people!

I feel the pain in your poem. :-( Putin is an absolute monster! My heart felt thoughts travel out to your wife and you and all the people in Ukraine.

I can understand your wife Irina's grief Gershon, I have friends who are Ukrainians and right now I feel so helpless, because I can't do anything to ease their pain....ab

Interesting. My wife feels as you do, Anselmo - utterly helpless. It's a sinking feeling.

A cellphone will be no comfort to her, so stay by her side. Aloha!

You're right, Rico. She needs lots of TLC now.

Perhaps we're just all yellow underneath.
