Hope
Don’t cry. I have not gone. I’m with you all of the time
when days and nights are just too much… or when you
are down, put out your arm your hand will be in mine
just take a moment and feel my touch…
Don’t cry. try to keep a smile, my love and strength
is all around. You’ll see me everywhere you go,
and maybe even hear my voice. I’ll
be there like a snapshot of time, while you listen to
my favourite sound, be strong at least you’ll
always know, I did not leave through choice.
Don’t cry. We will not end, I’ll see you every day
death will not divide us, bright stars may dim their light
sight and touch you do not need, for in our hearts we’ll stay.
The sun may never shine as bright, and when every nerve is numb
and your heart has lost the will to beat, do not despair…
for together we drank the moonlight…
