Hope

When life seems so tempest tossed, And all seems so dismally lost, Climb back up that slippery slope; Just remember, there is always hope! When in the throes of trials and stress, And in times of forlorn hopelessness, 'Twill be much easier for you to cope, Remembering that there is always hope! These are words we need to hear when we are in the depths of despair, Bob. Very nicely written! Congratulations on your win. There were many wonderful entries to this contest and nearly all of them were difficult to rank. Best wishes, Carolyn

Thank you, Line. I wrote a longer version of this poem the day we found out that my late wife, Vera, was diagnosed with macular degeneration - that in addition to Parkinsons exacerbated her untimely passing in July.
