Notes About The Poem

I was in a classroom today when I cheer of happiness went through the room. Excited yelling. Hooray! Rain! We get to stay inside and watch U-tube videos. Inside recess. They were all stirred up, so glad to not have to go outside and play. A sad sign of the times.

Hooray Inside Recess

the children all cheer

there will be no indoor recess

hooray rain they yell

glad to be inside

watching their inane U-tube

indoor children now

I know, things like this feel like you've entered the "Twilight Zone"... So ironic, how we were always bursting with excitement to get outside- and now they can't wait to stay in! "Indoor children", sad but true. :(
