Notes About The Poem

One Couple of Days Poetry Contest.

Honeymoon in Uranus- OBD

One couple of days, a young man named Lawrence,
Met an old hag of the neighboring village named Florence.
Lawrence was dumb and Florence, lame
His question- “Will you marry me,” in Florence, lit love’s flame.

She danced on her toes like a beautiful ballerina.
She looked so majestic like the Greek goddess Athena.
After marriage, for honeymoon, they flew to Uranus.
They both looked like two goblins in moon’s luminance.

Creative, humorous work, Valsa. It should have been a winner but since it was so long ago, I guess it must not have been since I see no congrats. 👏✍️. Sara K.
